OBD-II Software for ElmScan and ElmTester interfaces
is a free program that allows you to use your PC and a
hardware interface to get the information from your car's
computer. The program is very user-friendly, and easy
to learn. It is also very easy to install: simply extract
the files into a folder on your computer's hard drive,
and you're ready to go. To uninstall the program, simply
delete the entire contents of the folder where the program
resides.The software supports two platforms - DOS and
Windows (for Linux is only a old version available).
The program lets you perform the following operations:
- Read
diagnostic trouble codes, both generic and manufacturer-specific,
and display their meaning (over 3000 generic code
definitions in the database).
- Clear
trouble codes and turn off the MIL ("Check Engine"
light)
- Display current sensor data, including:
- Engine RPM
- Calculated Load Value
- Coolant Temperature
- Fuel System Status
- Vehicle Speed
- Short Term Fuel Trim
- Long Term Fuel Trim

The latest 4.03 release contains many extra features for our customers. Multi-protocol + CAN support, includes Freeze Frame Data, includes Gauges for appropriate sensors, a direct serial interface for custom queries, ability to chart 4 sensors at once, queries hardware 5x faster (20ms delay), allows all sensors to be queried regardless of support, the entire application contains both English/Metric support, based on new communication code for increased stability, user preferences saved in memory for quick launch. The OBD II software is used strictly to retrieve and diagnose your vehicles information and is not designed to tamper with or change anything outside of its domain.
The Digimoto 4.03 software also includes improved charting capabilities and dynamic tolerance capabilities allowing the software to adapt on the fly to the limitations of the car it is running on. Whether your car can run at a maximum speed of 80mph or 300mph, the software will adjust its readings and graphs accordingly.
Digimoto Pocket PC Edition v1.0 has arrived! The Digimoto Pocket PC v1.0 software was designed to contain the same capabilities as the desktop software. The Digimoto Pocket PC version is designed for the mobile mechanic, but does not suffer in power for being such a small application. The Digimoto Pocket PC was designed for use on all Pocket PC 2002 and Pocket PC 2003 devices.

The EEC Analyzer, also refered to as EA, is a tool that can analyze data produced by todays most comon data loggers. This tool can also log data with the ELM320 Scan Tool or ELM327 Scan Tool. This scan tool is an OBDII interface that allows the EEC Analyzer to log and monitor live data.

Also including support for acceleration measurements and multiple choises for data saving, ElmOScan is one of the most comprehensive solution for automotive diagnostics and analyzis.
ElmOScan is the latest version of our diagnostics tool featuring :

OBD Gauge will work on any model of Palm that has serial capability, including:
- PalmPilot series, Palm III series, Palm V series, Palm VII series, m100 series, m500 series, Tungsten (T, T2, T3, C), i705, Zire 71
Newer Palms generally come with a USB cradle only, but are also have serial capability. It is necessary to purchase the appropriate serial HotSync cable for your model of Palm.
Older Palms come with a serial cradle which may be used with OBD Gauge, although you may wish to purchase a cable for greater convenience.
The Tungsten T and T3 owners may need to purchase shareware software called SerialFix which corrects a serious defect in the PalmOS serial port driver.
Incompatible Palms
There are a few models of Palm will not work because they are USB only, and lack the necessary serial capability.
The models which will NOT work include:
- Zire, Zire 21, Zire 31, Zire 72
- Tungsten E
It is not possible to use a USB to serial adapter, because these adapters are designed to be used with a PC only.
Other Palms
I have had mixed reports about whether Handspring and Sony Palms will work with OBD Gauge. Please send me your report (positive or negative) if you have experience with using OBD Gauge on a Handspring or Clie. Please include the make, model number, and PalmOS version. |

The Windows OBD logging tool is still in beta. It can be downloaded for free from the download page. The application display the number of trouble codes and real-time sensor data on screen and optionally save them to log files. (ie, engin RPM, Vehicle speed etc...). More features are on it's way because it's still in development.

This software was not written to compete with ScanTool.net's software. Their software has more features and a fancier interface. This software, on the other hand, only reads/clears scancodes, but should run fine on a 286. |

The MicroOBD application is available for download. The application checks with the vehicle computer for supported Mode 01 PIDs and will display the live data from all available sensors. The supported sensors can be disabled/enabled by single click/tap on the gauge. Disabled, but supported PID will change its color to red. Unsuported sensors will be colored gray.
The application features log to file (.csv), packet data mode for ELM v2.0 or newer, US / SI (metric) values conversion, ELM version display and auto-continue. If the program detects errors or no response from the ELM interface, it will wait 5sec. and reset the chip. In case the automobile is turned off, the program will try every 5sec. until the PPC goes to a sleep mode. After the PPC is started again and the program receives the focus, it will reset the ELM chip and continue. Resetting should not affect currently selected for monitoring sensors.
The .csv log file will have only the values when the interface is working and connected to the car. Only enabledfor monitoring sensors will be logged. |
